Shared Affinity Beyond South Mountain

Each class is represented by a number of leaders, working to connect classmates back to Lehigh long after graduation. Every year, between 250 and 300 volunteers plan Reunion and class events, connect with their adoptive class, and write news and updates about their classmates in the Class Notes section of the Bulletin.

Relive. Rediscover. Reunion.

This year, the classes ending in a “3” or “8” will be celebrating during Reunion Weekend, June 8-10. For more information and to register, visit alum.lu/reunion. If you are a member of a class ending in a “4” or “9” and want to be involved in the preparation of next year’s Reunion, email volunteer@lehigh.edu.

Building Community and Equity

Understanding the importance of making connections outside of a shared class, the Alumni Relations team also supports diversity programs like the Black and Latino Alumni Network for Community and Equity (BALANCE) and the Lehigh Alumni Pride Association (LAPA) — both are examples of affinity groups led by volunteers who develop programming and reach out to alumni with shared interests to connect them back to the Lehigh community.

Connecting with Future Alumni

School spirit and class affinity begins with the student experience. That’s why approximately 40 students participate in the Association of Student Alumni (ASA) who plan programs like Bed Races and Nachos and Networking with alumni while on campus that extends to their time after graduation.
