Le-Laf and Spirit Week traditions are in full swing! Bed races, a longtime Lehigh tradition, happened this week with a new twist — races took place on a closed-off Packer Avenue for the first time ever.
Hundreds of spectators flocked to the new bed race venue to watch a record-setting 30 teams of students and Lehigh community members fly down Packer Avenue on a cool fall evening.
Association of Student Alumni (ASA) member Kerry Shamnoski ’22, who has helped her fellow ASAs organize and host bed races for the past two years, said “Seeing [the event] grow is really cool.”
