On Tuesday, Lehigh alumni in the NYC area gathered to give the new Class of 2018 a proper Sendoff in Midtown Manhattan. Thanks to the generosity of our host, Ben Lehrhoff ’03, we all enjoyed the view from the 41st floor of his workplace, the AllianceBernstein building, which gave us a beautiful view over Central Park and the northern part of the city. There were 17 incoming students present to join in the festivities.
It was nice to see such a large group (over 70 people) all gathered in the spirit of Lehigh. From alumni to current students, everyone there was focused on welcoming the Class of 2018 and their families into the fold. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, and there was cake!
I’ve been lucky to experience several Sendoffs and each time I am amazed by how exuberant the Lehigh family is and how welcoming they are to new students. I can already tell what a talented bunch these new students are, and I know everyone in the room felt the pride of being able to now call them a part of Lehigh.
If you weren’t able to join us in NYC, I hope to see you at another Sendoff this summer!
