In September, the Lehigh Alumni Sustainability Alliance (LASA) Fall Professional Alliance Networking Reception event was held at Linderman Library as an opportunity to promote networking and mentorship. This platform also presented an opportunity for LASA to highlight goals and expectations of the alliance moving forward.
After the event, I spoke with Zoe Grossman ’15 to hear her feedback.
Zoe, an Environmental Engineering graduate and current Project Engineer at the LiRo Group, decided to attend the reception because she wanted to explore opportunities in shifting her career more towards the sustainability sector and felt this was a great way to do so.
“I enjoyed the event very much,” Zoe, a certified Engineer in Training and a LEED Green Associate, said. “[I] have been a part of the LinkedIn LASA group, but finally got to put faces to names and meet other members of the group.”
Zoe went on to say the event was a great starting point for ongoing discussions of how we, as professionals, can promote sustainability and that the event presented her with the opportunity to hear success stories as encouragement for her future endeavors.
